Course Description
The Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry is designed for learners who wish to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work legally as a door supervisor. Based on the SIA’s specifications and updated to meet the latest requirements.

- Drug-misuse legislation
- Issues and procedures relevant to the role of a door supervisor
- Licensing law
- Queue management
- How to recognise
- Assess and reduce risk in conflict situations
- Problem-solving techniques when resolving conflict
- Physical interventions and the implications of their use
- The use of non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others

- Face to Face (6 days in the classroom)
Assessments
- Practical and written assessments are observed and recorded by the Trainer throughout the course.
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive a e-Certificate Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors.
