Course Description
The Level 2 Award in Front-of-Stage Pit Barrier Operations (RQF) has been developed for staff working in live events who are positioned at the front-of-stage pit barrier and require the skills and understanding to manage what can be a challenging environment.
Course Content
- The purpose of the front-of-stage pit barrier
- The roles and responsibilities of front-of-stage pit barrier personnel
- The health and safety of individuals within the barrier system
- Recognise audience activity and respond appropriately while working in the front-of-stage pit barrier

Delivery Method
- Face to Face (1 day in the classroom)
Assessments
- Practical and written assessments are observed and recorded by the Trainer throughout the course.
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive a Level 2 Award in Front of Stage Pit Barrier Operations e-certificate.
