Course Description
This course is designed for beginners who would benefit from some knowledge of what to do in a first aid emergency.
Course Content
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Automated External Defibrillator Awareness
- Choking Casualty
- Care of the Unconscious Casualty
Availability
- On-site courses (training for groups at your venue)
- Open courses (courses available at our training venues)
Delivery Method
- Face to Face (3 hours in the classroom)
Assessments
- Practical assessments are observed and recorded by the Trainer throughout the course.
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive an e-Certificate in Basic Life Support.
