Course Description
Our Evacuation Chair training prepares all operators for the safe and effective use of the equipment, as well as the relevant legislation and theory behind it.
In short, the course is designed to make your employees fully aware of their responsibilities when it comes to evacuating their co-workers. This course complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

- Safe use of Evacuation Chair
- Demonstration and practical exercise
- Management of an Evacuation Chair
- Safe and effective use of an Evacuation Chair
- Understanding of the relevant Legislation RRO (Fire Safety) 2005

Delivery Method
- Face to Face (3 hours in the classroom)
Assessments
- Practical assessments are observed and recorded by the Trainer throughout the course.
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive an Evacuation Chair Operator e-Certificate.
