Course Description
This course is designed for individuals who intend to act as First Aiders in the workplace. It provides the First Aider with the skills necessary to give practical life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses, and maintain the care and comfort of the casualty until professional help arrives.
The course is suitable for all businesses. Shift work, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness must be considered. Please note that if a company has more than one location, each site must be assessed separately, according to the category of risk and the number of personnel.

Availability
- On-site courses (training for groups at a time and venue of your choice)

Delivery Method
- Face to Face (3 days in the classroom) OR Blended (1 day online pre-learning and 2 days in the classroom)

Assessments
- Practical assessments are observed and recorded by the Trainer throughout the course.
- There are two theory assessments / multiple-choice question papers.
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
• Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work e-Certificate.
