Course Description
Please note: This two-hour course is intended as a same-day bolt-on, following a First Aid at Work course.
This course provides the knowledge and competence required for learners to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry or agricultural environment, covering the recommended topics outlined in the Forestry Commission First Aid Policy 2015.

- Crush injuries
- Effects of extreme cold
- Lyme disease
- Emergency planning and remote medical assistance

Assessments
- There is no assessment required for this course
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
Upon completion of this course, learners will receive a Forestry First Aid at Work (+F) certificate.
