Course Description
This course is ideal for employers who are aware of their legal responsibilities for health and safety and require sufficient training to meet those requirements confidently. It’s also beneficial for employees who have been promoted to management and now need a more comprehensive understanding of health and safety rules to lead safely. Recognised by the HSE as a standard in managing health and safety at work, many industries recommend or even require supervisors and managers to hold the IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
The primary focus is on risk management, including understanding how to identify and control hazards, as well as becoming proficient in conducting risk assessments.
You can use flexible timings for group bookings and spread the classroom time over three weeks.

Delivery Method

Assessments
- Learners for this course must pass two assessments: a written exam paper and a coursework risk assessment.
Pre-requisites
- Learners should be at a management or supervisory level within the company and possess the literacy skills necessary to conduct a written risk assessment.
- We do allow additional time for learners with diagnosed learning difficulties for the assessment paper.
Certification
Upon completing this course, learners will be awarded an IOSH Managing Safely certificate valid for three years. To renew the certificate, a one-day refresher course is available within the three years.
