Course Description
This module is designed for police officers and operational support staff who have direct contact with the public. This module is equivalent to the HSE ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’ standard. It focuses on the level of first aid identified by the HSE as the acceptable level for police officers and operational support staff. The learning addresses basic principles of first aid and covers a wide range of medical situations that personnel may be expected to encounter.

- Automated External Defibrillator Awareness

Availability

- Face to Face (1 day in the classroom)
Assessments
- Practical assessments are observed and recorded by the Trainer throughout the course.
Pre-requisites
- Learners must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
- We recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy, or equivalent. However, we acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require additional support during assessment.
- If you believe changes may be needed to the course or its assessment due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible, or at least two weeks before the start date. In most cases, this will provide us with sufficient time to assess your requirements and implement any necessary adjustments.
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will receive a Module 2 Emergency First Aid e-Certificate.
