Before you attend a course

Although our trainers will accommodate all, learners attending the course must understand that there will be elements of both mental and practical work included on the course, and that everyone will be expected to participate.

We acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require a little extra help when being assessed.

Assessment and Certification

Upon completion of the course assessment, successful learners will be awarded a First Aid at Work certificate, which is valid for three years.

The HSE recommend that learners attend an Annual First Aid Update course.

Who Should Attend?

This course is for people intending to act as a First Aider at Work. It is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills necessary to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses, whilst maintaining care and comfort of the casualty until professional help arrives.

The course is suitable for all businesses. Consideration must be made for shift work, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness. Please note if a business has more than one location each site must be assessed per category of risk and per number of personnel.

This course can save you both time and money! This course can now be achieved with just one day away from work, as blended learning is now an accepted means by which workplace first aid training can be delivered. This course can be adapted to suit the audience and is in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. The first part will be via either TEAMS or Zoom with a trainer, and the second part will be held at either the clients location, or one of AML’s locations for individual bookings.
