Before you attend a course

Although our trainers will accommodate all, learners attending the course must understand that there will be elements of both mental and practical work included on the course, and that everyone will be expected to participate.

We acknowledge and embrace Viva-Voce (Verbal Assessments) for learners who may require a little extra help when being assessed.

Assessment and Certification

Upon completion of the course assessment, successful learners will be awarded a Paediatric First Aid certificate, which is valid for three years.

This course is intended for any individual working within the childcare industry to have sufficient first aid training. It is essential for anyone working directly with children, including teachers, nursery assistants, and also those working in locations where children are likely to visit, such as leisure centres and tourist attractions.

Consideration must be made for shift work, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, and sickness.

This course is intended for registered Child Minders in England and Wales, as they are required to have a Paediatric First Aid certificate. The course is suitable for any worker that provides care for babies and children under 8 years old, including parents, nannies, au pairs and nurses. This course may also be used as evidence for those working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Education.

This course can save you both time and money! This course can now be achieved with just one day away from work, as blended learning is now an accepted means by which workplace first aid training can be delivered. This course can be adapted to suit the audience and is in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. The first part will be via either TEAMS or Zoom with a trainer, and the second part will be held at either the clients location, or one of AML’s locations for individual bookings.
